Yahoo Starts Corporate Blogging

On 1 august at 10:30 P.M yahoo officially started its corporate blogs. the first line of the first post read ‘Oh, yes, we’re going corporate. But please don’t hold that against us.’ this new attempt according to yahoo is to bring to the world a wide range of topics that all bring us back to the big purple house of Yahoo!.

surprisingly unlike the other yahoo product blog that runs in the yahoo 360 platform yahoo yodel runs on wordpress.

    well its the most popular Blogging system not to mention the large number of custom plugins available its the same thing that I am running on my website.

    Yes true. But yahoo has their own blogging platform, wouldnt it be degrading to use a third party blog platform when you have your very own???

    Yahoo is well know for using various open source projects and customising them for there own needs. I think yahoo 360 is aimed at a crowd that would want blogging to be relativly simple and easy to work with. Not that wordpress is too complicated but how would you explain trackbacks, ping, stats plugins etc to a newbi/noob. lol :) . I personally think wordpress.com offers the best blogging platform compared to other websites like blogger, Xanga etc.

    I think yahoo 360 is aimed at a crowd that would want blogging to be relativly simple and easy to work with.
