Blu ray technology is really good. But it is too costly now for any normal person. Storage capacity of blu ray discs are really amazing anyhow. Thanks and God bless

Samsung also launched a player with the same technology and the price is the same compared to Sony’s. This was back in June 06. Link – http://blogs.pcworld.com/staffblog/archives/002257.html.

Talking about the PS3, my guess is that it will come to India late next year, considering the fact that it has a price tag of $600 for the advanced version.

Have Indian retailers ever thought about the Nintendo Wii? This product has been getting a lot of rave reviews.

That will take time. I hope this technology does not make the dvd obselete like what the cd did to the venerable tape.

As expected from Sony, the player is very expensive. Will have to wait for a little bit for players from the SEAsia which will be available for a fraction of that cost. Instead, its better to go in for a PS3 which comes with a BluRay Disc Player

Now we’ll have to see which of the 2 formats – Blu Ray / HD will stay and then decide to go in for one. In the interim, I hope there becomes available a player that plays both formats seamlessly!
