Scribd is a cool new service that lets you upload and share your documents online.
Supported formats include PDF, DOC, PPT, XLS, TXT and even more… Multiple files can be uploaded at once, and there’s no size limit. Add some description to the file and spice it up with some tags. That’s it! It’s there on Scribd.
The documents are downloadable in several other formats like MP3, TXT, etc. Just like embedding Youtube videos on your blog, you could embed these files on to your site/blog too.
You could rate a document, see the statistics for it: the number of times it was viewed, make it your favourite, comment on it, and also flag it if it seems to be inappropriate. Related documents are mentioned on the sidebar too.
And these are all the reasons why many people have started calling it the ‘Youtube for documents‘
The PDF viewer is fantastic, I should say. It’s a flash object and it’s extremely slick. It does not even slow down your browser. Not at all resource-hungry.
This is Scribd’s homepage with options to upload, and listing the most popular documents:

Actually, we are back only now after a long time. We were all busy with our jobs, so didn’t update this blog for a long time. That’s why the feed count had fallen. Hope we can give you great articles in the days ahead.
