2008 was a fantastic year for XBOX 360, featuring some of the most preferred games all around the world. Some of the most exclusive were Gears of Wars 2 and Fable II. With this, we come to the most expected games for the year 2009.
Halo 3: ODST – Despite the fact that Halo 3 was somewhat disappointing to me, I still find myself excited by know the outcome of this new Halo Game. This series still has some amazing weapons, good maps and amazing controls to boot and with it being a Bungie developed, making it a safer bet to be one of the most awaited games.
Star Ocean: The Last Hope – I still remember playing the initial version of Star Ocean long back when it was first came into the market. Though I haven’t played all the other releases, but now that it is coming in the 360; I’m all the more excited. There is not much of information that is revealed by the company nor its developers, but still looking forward to it. Hope, it is a good game at the very least.
Splinter Cell: Conviction – Conviction is a long awaited game since the release of the earlier version Splinter Cell Double Agent way back in October 2006. Ubisoft Montreal is developing Conviction, these are the guys who developed Splinter Cell and Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory. Chaos Theory remains my favorite of all the series, since it rewarded me for stealth, at the same time awarded me to go and kill some one randomly(just like a chaos). This series was a huge hit especially in the Asian countries. The next entry to this series was the Double Agent, which was more like the “good guy, bad guy” thing and didn’t quite do well in the market.
I hope with this new release, Splinter series goes back to what had proven success in the market rather than the “good guy, bad guy” strategy. I also expect that they bring in more features for cooperative play.
Dead Island – I have always wanted to play a zombie game where in I was thrown in an island of Zombies, and I had to run around to find food, ammos and other essentials in order to keep myself away from getting infected. The basic objective of these games are to survive as much time as possible. This is exactly what you get with Dead Island, which puts it in my list for the year 2009.
Mass Effect 2 – There is no official date of release for this game as of now, its not even sure whether it would be released this year. But there are hopes that this game would see the market before the end of this year. If it does believe me, this game would rock the XBOX 360 market.
I pretty much like few other games that the XBOX offers, like the Commanger Sheppard, Biowave, Blade, etc. But when it comes to the top 5,I would any day choose these. Post in your list of most preferred games in XBOX.
