Send Free and Unlimited Text Messages through Airtel

I am sure you will not refuse an opportunity to send free unlimited sms to anyone through Airtel. The problem is, to be able to send unlimited text messages would mean higher costs. If you are an Airtel subscriber, there have been many websites in the past who have been posting free message center numbers. However, with many users discovering these free message centers, Airtel capped those numbers from being use anymore. There are still free message center numbers that I found to be still working. Take note though that airtel may ban this number anytime so you just have to be fast in sending free short text messages to any of your friends and acquaintances having airtel mobile numbers.

Here are the steps to sending unlimited and free text messages:

1. Depending on your mobile model and brand, go to Messages and click on Settings.

2. Find the message center number and add a new message center number.

3. Type a title for the message center number name like”free message center number”

4. Input +919810051905

5. For your packet data, choose Preferred Connection Type

6. Save everything and activate in the Options menu of your phone.

Now you have already added another message center number from which all your message will go through whether incoming or outgoing. There still have to be additional settings to be change because your preferred connection type was changed to packet type.

1. From your phone menu, go to Settings->Phone Settings->Connection->Packet Data

2. Packet Data Connection->When available and access point->airtel

3. Again save everything.

A note of caution though, since we are using a CDMA message center number, and since CDMA do not use 91 as country code, you need to add 0 before every number. This is very important to remember else this option of sending free and unlimited text messages will not work.

Here’s an example: If you want to send free text messages to 9761098610, you need to input 09761098610 instead of just 9761098610 or +9761098610.

Remember that the above changes in the settings apply only to Nokia cellular phones. You may have to consult your mobile phone manuals if you have other cellular phone models.
