Mainframe app interacting with Google Maps in iPhone

The article Accessing z/OS applications with an iPhone at IBM Developer Works last week demonstrates how Mainframe and Google Maps interact.

Why are we so kicked about it? Well, for starters even now the backbone for most fortune 500 companies is Mainframe. And this example proves the concept of mainframe interaction with WEB 2.0 components. This could make all the data in mainframe more usable and accessible.

There is a bright future for anyone who knows a bit of coding in php/j2ee and mainframe cics.
