2. Selling your avatar space on DigitalPoint is also a way of earning money. The space can be used by marketers or clients to advertise their goods and services. Many marketers are looking for few people who will sell their avatar and signature space for linking. In this way you can earn some pretty money, and you do have to be an active poster because your commission is dependent on the number clicks on your avatar and signature that people do. Signature link sales and pay- per- posting is the   least paid services in DigitalPoint, but you needn’t be picky, because the posts are very easy to do and don’t take up a lot of time. Always look at making money on DigitalPoint in a more general scope.

I have been saving them during several months so far. And I thought this would be a great idea to put all of them here, in order to empty my bookmarking panel and to share with you this wealth from all over the Internet.

Though you can purchase a PRO access, which is pretty much the same, as the free version – PRO lets you follow 300 users per day. I used to like it, but now I prefer buzzom (it’s a secret!) for this kind of following users.
4. Buzzom lets you follow, unfollow and reciprocate. Great tool for boosting your Twitter list of followers. It also has such features like cross-following and following targeted Twitter users using search by keywords.I like this service, because of seeing its growth and development. I remember the time, when it was incredibly slow and buggy. Now it looks much more promising.
5. FriendOrFollow.com works faster, than Buzzom, but has less features. Though.. I should say that sometimes it finds who does not follow you and who you are not following back more accurately. I use it, when I have several users not following me back (..another secret!).
6. TwitterCounter is the very known service, that offers widgets for your blog or website like Twitter Counter (which looks just like Feedburner’s Subscribers Counter), Twitter Widget (shows Twitter users, when they visit your site) and more.The TwitterCounter.com site itself has a lot of things to promote your Twitter account, like tops and lists. But don’t even think about getting there, those tops and lists are already dominated by web gurus like Pete (from Mashable!), Britney Spears and Twitter itself.
7. Oneforty – lets you find, collect, rate and share Twitter apps from all over the Internet. Visit them, when you’ll have some extra minute. You may find there a lo-o-ot of interesting freebies for your future tweets.
8. Revtwt is the advertising network, to help you to earn money on Twitter.I’ve tried it and it didn’t work for me. But if you have more than 1,000-2,000 Twitter followers (targeted, not internet marketing bots and scams), then don’t listen to me. Go ahead and test it. They have really large network of advertisers and offers. You can even make them send daily advertisments directly to your email box, which you can use or not.
9. 5 Twitter Directories – a post by Geoffrey Gordon, who introduces us to 5 best Twitter directories in his opinion.You should try them. Don’t leave it for tomorrow, like I do I still haven’t tried these directories.
10. Twitter Search is a search for Twitter, where you can find out what is happening right now. It works the same way as the search you see above your lists in your common Twitter account.I’m not sure why I’ve bookmarked it…

2. The next step is to get Hotspot shield to access with service account by using US Proxy address. Otherwise Google will display the message by saying that you’re the user form outside US and you’re not eligible to access this service. So you need get IP address belongs to US.

Obtaining A Free US Number:

1. User Account type is: SIP

Locating for users SIP Client  (X-Lite) Using Iptel.Org:

The users has to already downloaded X-lite 3.0/4.0 and now they have to set up a link with iptel.org by using the following steps:

• Display Name: users choice
• User Name: User ID in iptel.org
• Password: password used in iptel.org
• Authorization User Name: User ID@iptel.org
• Domain: iptel.org

If the SIP Client settings are done perfectly then the user will get the message like ready/available on the X-lite screen based on the version used.

Initiating the Google Voice service beyond US:

Before initiating the service provider the user has to make sure with the client activation on X-lite and SIP account.

Use the US proxy number to log in to http://www.google.com/voice

• The initial step is to choose any Google Voice US number of users choice. The user cannot change the number in future.

• The user will be requested to choose a PIN to initiate your voice mail.

• The user has to insert the US Phone number that which is provided by IPKALL.

• The final step is to check with the number from IPKALL, and often cross check with X-lite configuration and activation, now its time to press Call Me Now button displayed on the screen.

• If the configuration is perfect on the X-lite then insert the two-digit number on the dial pad.

Yes! Now onwards you can directly make use of Google voice service provider, and your focus should be in often checking the X-lite and its activation. The activation is checked because it acts as the proxy number, so just ring up and start your conversation.

Its virtually impossible that any hosting provider will give 100% uptime. Higher the uptime, higher the cost. Industry standard of Five 9s (99.999%) is impossible for shared hosting, what we look to compare int his review is 99.9%.

Few of the popular Hosting Providers I have tried so far:

1. BlueHost – Discount Coupon BlueHost $6.95/mo. Go through my previous post before you read further about Bluehost.
2. GoDaddy – We have limited experience with them, we will publish a review, soon
3. Hostmonster – Discount coupon hostmonster $6.95/month
4. HostGator – Discount coupon HostGator. (20% off Coupon “Autumn”)

Truth be told, most of the big Brand don’t deserve the credit they have been accredited for. They are just piece of hype and promoted by Affiliates/bloggers just to earn money by advertising them. And for the Supporters of those  Hosts, this is a Game revealer. In this review, I`ll reveal all the insiders, the nightmares you an get into with these web hostings.

Most of the shared hosting providers are squeezing more websites into the same servers to attain higher ROI. Makes sense for them, but wait, did they forget the quality?

Note: Every point mentioned here comes from my past experiences and finds perfect accordance with “Genuine Reviews” over the Internet. If you doubt a point, don’t hesitate, immediately Google it and compare the other user’s opinion about it.

I`ll walk you through each of the important points which everyone should prioritize while choosing the right hosting.

Reliability/ Up times

This is the first thing everyone should look for. I can give you a list of 100s of hosting providers who claim (and not guarantee) 99.9% uptime. On the front page the write “assured 99.9% uptime” but if you read TOS, they don’t guarantee it, and there lies the catch.

Fore my detailed review, I monitored each of the service using online uptime monitoring service Monitor: HostTracker, averaged over 4-6 months.

BlueHost: They used to be great until last year, when they didn’t have enough customers, all squeezed into the same servers. If you look into their reviews till last year, they look awesome. Reason is clear, they were good at that time, they were not that greedy. Due to the greed that they have been possessing over last year,  they suck on quality. Practically, I have attained practical uptime of 98.11% (This means 9 hours downtime monthly) and if you get frequent account suspensions (discussed later) downtime increases further.

HostMonster: They seem to follow a similar trend with BlueHost, continue to fall in quality. The uptime I was able to attain  was 98.59%

HostGator: Like others, they are also getting bigger, squeezing more people but still they seem to have quality as they are the ONLY Web hosting providers that ACTUALLY GUARANTEE 99.9% uptime. Woohoo, this forced me to try their service. And trust me, I actually achieved a figure very close to it. My averaged score over 6 months was 99.84 %. This is brilliant. (during October, I even got 99.99%)

Traffic Capacity / CPU Usage Restrictions

On a shared hosting service, don`t expect to get unlimited capacity. If you cross a certain limit set by the Hosting provider, you will get your account suspended temporarily. WebHostings use CPU time as the bases of measurements for this. And if you dont use a caching mechanim on you blog, you are gone.

BlueHost:  They are pretty cheap at this. They don’t quote a User understandable value. Practically, If you own a website with decent traffic, you are already in trouble. I`ve seen people reporting account suspensions for very low traffic indeed ( of the order of 2,500 per day or even lower, without caching plugin).

Hostmonster: They do quote some numbers, but they are practically bad at it. With a Wordpress blog without caching, they can broke off somewhere around 3,500 PV per day (varies from type of theme you are using).

HostGator: No wonder, they have surprised me here as well. During my peek times, I’ve experimented alot during a trial with them. On a day on which I had a killer post that fetched me 26k Pageviews (in less than 24 hours), I had no caching enabled. At that time, I had recently migrated to HostGator but forgot to enable my HyperCache Combo. CPU usage lied in 11 – 19% range. The max set by HostGator is fairly large around 20-25%. Surprisingly, it survived the days traffic without a complain.

Account Suspension Policies

None of them have tolerance for Piracy, SPAM, phishing, which is all justified for good. But post processing overload, the suspensions are a serious issue.

BlueHost: They are the most unreliable at this. I`ve seen people reporting account suspension for traffic lower than 400 pages per day. Their policies are so harsh on the customers. Everytime they feel you are overloading their servers, they straightaway suspend your account leaving your visitors in disguise and unlimited dissatisfaction. I’ve faced 15 account suspensions with them over 2 months, all of them being “High resource utilization”. At that time (like 5 months back), I was getting traffic of 4k+ PVs everyday with proper caching in place. Thanks to them, it reduced to 3/4th.

Hostmonster: They are bit-more co-operative at this. They warn you over the (so called) illegal stuff  you do or when you near your CPU/RAM limits. They don’t allow some of the most used things on blogging platform like “All in one SEO pack”, it’s strictly prohibited in their TOS. If they see it being used on your site, they will ask you to remove it and if you fail to do so,  be ready for an account suspension. One of my clients had hostmonster account for 5 months (coz they were bounded by 3 year plan). With Drupal, and a forum, they used to have 6k page impressions everyday. With proper caching in place, they faced several unethical accusations from hostmonster of exceeding the quota of CPU and temporary unavailability was pretty frequent.

HostGator:  Takes all the good points of hostmonster, but no restrictions as such. They don’t suspend your account unless they have warned you. Need Proof ? Google for each “BlueHost account suspended”,  “hostmonster account suspended” and “hostGator account suspended” See what kind of reviews you get for the first two vs. third one. User experience speaks for itself.

Support

When it comes to Tickets and support issues, who is more helpful?

BlueHost: Seriously, they forgot the meaning of customer service. I had one client hosted on them, they had been facing performance issues for a long time, Bluehost had no one who could help them in anyway. One of my another client got account disabled for linking to a (legal) rapidshare file and reactivation took over 3 days. Imagine a website going down for full 3 days. Nightmare! This is just one instance, I’ve seen worse.

HostMonster: Though their hosting, reliability are tolerable, they are the worst on Tickets and support. Average resolution of tickets takes long time. I`ve been with them for 2 months unless I decided to quit. And one of my partners survived 6 months with them. Well ,I’m not alone Google for “hostmonster support sucks” you will know what I’m talking about. One of the best example goes here. I’m sure you will find plenty of them

HostGator: They are happy to help in all the cases I logged so far. During my tenure with them, I hardly had any issues. Two of the minor ones were quickly resolved over the Live chat (which hostmonster doesn’t have) or via Toll Free U.S. number, that I used to connect free over Skype (it’s free from around the world).

Prices

This is also an important parameter one must not ignore. hostmonster creates large figures but lots of Coupons are available to make them competitive. Here are the packages they offer:

BlueHost:  (Unlimited domains) Discount: Effective $6.95/mo (Effective $83.4 yearly)

Hostmonster: (Unlimited domains) $6.95/mo,  (Effective 83.5$/year)

HostGator:  Hatchling (Single domain) $6.95/mo, and Baby (Unlimited domains) $9.95/mo.

If you go for 2 or 3 years of subscriptions, prices drop further for all of them. You can choose that while registering.

Moneyback / Refunds

I won`t really get into this one coz all of them have almost comparable policies over this ranging from 30-45 days trial period during which you can opt out with full refund. And I bet you will need that if you were on Bluehost. On hostmonster, HostGator, they are so much better.

Features

Don’t worry about the Features. Practically, all 3 of them are mature at marketing this. They all have same CPanel, same Fantastico (for installing apps) and good ways of managing MySQL database (PhpmyAdmin), unlimited accounts. All of them offer Unlimited space, Unlimited bandwidth which ofcourse is tied up with CPU/RAM usage that we discussed earlier.

All said and Done

This is not the end of the world, this is  my opinion and experience over the WebHosting.I would Highly recommend use of HostGator.

Well, my experience may not be everything that happens with all of the customers but, they have been very common among the people using same Hosting and a quick Google search for each of that parameter reveals the truth, hence, my Review inclines with them.

You probably know by now that the mere clicking of the delete button to get rid of files does not mean that they are ultimately gone. If you still do not know that, at least now you know.

What the delete action does is unlink the file so that it is not visible or accessible. It may seem that the files are gone but actually they are still in your hard disk. That means there is a high chance that the sensitive or confidential data you do not want to display can easily be restored by hard disk recovery softwares.

So to permanently remove your documents from your hard disk, you need something more than just the act of clicking the delete button. You need [Eraser].

Buying Guide for Laptop:

What type of User are you?

Student:

These types of users are looking for inexpensive laptops to help them with school matters. They also need something portable and easy to bring from one class to another. Since they are students and on the loan, they can’t afford to buy luxury laptops. The cheaper the laptop is the better. They need to maximize their money and get the best deal for what it’s worth. A student needs to use laptops for its basic office functions and internet access. This is what we can suggest for Student users.

* Size, Portability and Price matters. Netbooks that are approximately 9” in screen are small and easy to carry around and does not exceed $500 in value. If your purpose is to do internet surfing and basic office work, then this is the best choice for you. But that’s just about what they can do for you. Smaller laptops mean slower in performance. Its hard drive, mother board and single core CPU are relatively not that quick to respond but it’s bearable. Video gaming on Netbooks has proven to be poor. So, this wouldn’t be a good decision if you are planning to play online games with this one. Screen is small which takes getting used to. Specs are usually around 160 gig Hard Drive and 1 gig RAM.

* Size, Portability, Price and Work Performance matters. There are Ultra Portable laptops to fit your specifications. Notebooks are better than Netbooks in terms of performance. Usually, their specs do not go below 250 gig in Hard Drive and 3 gig in RAM. Screens range between 12”-13” and usually, these notebooks are thin and ultra light at around 4lbs in weight. Take into consideration the fact that the smaller the laptop is, the less space it can provide.

Business:

These types of users are looking for portability, safety of their data, no-nonsense laptop that is capable to performing business functions such as spreadsheets and data processing. It has to be reliable and quick when internet browsing is concerned. Heavy laptops are not recommended at all, but a longer battery life would be an added plus.

* Size and Portability. Laptops should be at the most 15” in screen but not to go below 12”. A 12” laptop is easy to connect with the projector for business presentations. This is easy to bring on trips and light to handle.

* Specifications and Connectivity. A business laptop is fast and efficient to use. Multitasking would be better if RAM is around 2 gig to 4 gig. Processor must be like in speed of Dual Core or Core 2 Duo. With these specs, you could add a gaming video card but it would expensive on your part. If your goal is to use laptop for business and office matters, you don’t need to install games on it. Business Laptops are WIFI ready and has Ethernet. At least 3-4 USB ports are found to make way for external items.

* Price: A good business laptop ranges from $800 to $1200.

* Battery life. Thin batteries, shorter time allotment. You can buy the thicker and bigger batteries, however, weight is compromised. Anyway, almost everywhere has electric plugs.

Gamer and Photographer:

These types of users need all the space they can get their hands on and the higher the resolution, the better. The need massive HDD’s, powerful processors and state of the art graphics to go with it.

* Size. Forget portability. You need a 17” monitor because of the cooling requirements. These laptops drain easily because of the heat from the gaming and/or video and photo viewing, thus, a bigger laptop is needed to accommodate cooling needs. Anyway, if you’re viewing pictures and videos or playing your games, you would want to be satisfied of every detail that only a bigger screen can provide.

* Specifications. Definitely 4 gig to 8 gig RAM with lightning speed of up to 500 gig Hard Drive. It would be better to buy something with a dedicated graphics card like NVIDIA for gaming purposes. Photos, videos and music can easily consume space in your hard drive. Always go for something upgradable in the future, otherwise, you will be using external storage if your Hard Drive is full.

* Price. More than $1200 up to $4000. It is never cheap to buy laptops with top quality specifications. New models come out every year and each year, specs amaze us. But if you would settle on older models, you could get a huge discount.
