How to Create a Media File that is Double-clickable

You know how it’s a bit of an inconvenience when you rip a DVD to your Mac you end up having a VIDEO_TS folder, which you can then drag to the DVD player icon in order to play the DVD?

Because the DVD media is a folder, you can’t double-click on it in order to open it in DVD player. You always have to do the troublesome open-the-app-then-drag-and-drop-to-icon process.
